1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“User”, “you”) and PutForShare (“we”, “us”, “our”), the operator of the used-book recommerce and donation platform available at putforshare.com and related applications (the “Platform”). By creating an account, browsing listings, listing a book for sale or donation, or completing a transaction, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. Description of the Platform

PutForShare is a used-book recommerce and donation platform operated through a warehouse and website. The Platform enables:

• Buyers to purchase used and pre-owned books listed by individual sellers, the PutForShare team, or PutForShare directly.
• Sellers to list books for sale, including via the Self Sell feature, subject to listing quality and pricing guidelines.
• Donors to arrange pickup or drop-off of books for donation through PutForShare logistics partners and drop-off points.
• PutForShare to receive, inspect, price, list, and fulfil sale and delivery within India.

PutForShare acts as a marketplace and logistics facilitator connecting buyers, sellers, and donors. Except where we sell inventory directly, PutForShare is not the seller of record for third-party listings and is not a party to the contract of sale between an independent seller and a buyer.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and transact on the Platform. Users under 18 may use the Platform only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it updated.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or engage in fraudulent or abusive conduct.

• Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase, which is accepted upon order confirmation and payment authorisation.
• Prices displayed include or exclude applicable taxes and shipping charges as indicated at checkout.
• Payments are processed through supported methods, including UPI and other electronic payment methods, via third-party payment gateways. PutForShare does not store full payment card details.
• Order confirmations, invoices, and shipment tracking will be made available through your account or via email/SMS notifications.

6. Shipping, Delivery, and Free-Shipping Offers

Shipping charges are calculated based on destination zone and order value, as displayed at checkout. Orders meeting the applicable free-shipping threshold, where offered, will not be charged shipping fees for that order. Estimated delivery timelines are provided for convenience and are not guaranteed; delays caused by courier partners, weather, regulatory action, or other events beyond our reasonable control do not constitute a breach of these Terms.

7. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations

• Given the used and pre-owned nature of items sold on the Platform, returns are accepted where the item received materially differs from its listing description or arrives damaged, subject to the return window and process stated on the Platform at the time of purchase.
• Refunds, where approved, will be issued to the original payment method within the timeframe communicated at the time of approval, subject to processing times of the relevant payment provider.
• Orders may be cancelled by the buyer prior to dispatch, subject to the cancellation window shown at checkout. Orders cancelled by PutForShare due to unavailability, pricing errors, or policy violations will be fully refunded.

8. Book Donations

Users may offer books for donation through participating franchise hubs, including via scheduled pickup or drop-off. Donated books become the property of PutForShare or the relevant franchise hub upon receipt and may be resold, redistributed, or disposed of at our discretion, including through the Platform's recommerce channel. Donation does not entitle the donor to payment unless expressly agreed at the time of donation, and donors are responsible for determining and claiming any applicable tax benefit under applicable law, if any.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• List counterfeit, stolen, pirated, or illegal items, or books whose sale is restricted under applicable law.
• Misrepresent the condition, edition, authenticity, or ownership of a listed book.
• Manipulate pricing, reviews, ratings, or the dynamic pricing engine through fraudulent means.
• Use the Platform for money laundering, tax evasion, or any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to circumvent Platform fees by arranging off-platform transactions initiated through the Platform.
• Interfere with the security, integrity, or normal operation of the Platform, including through scraping, reverse engineering, or introducing malicious code.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, hub staff, or PutForShare personnel.

10. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, software, trademarks, logos, and content created by PutForShare, excluding user-submitted listing content, is owned by or licensed to [Legal Entity Name] and protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Platform without our prior written consent.

11. User-Generated Content

By submitting listing descriptions, photographs, reviews, or other content to the Platform, you grant PutForShare a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, reproduce, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating, marketing, and improving the Platform. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to the content you submit and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.

12. Fees and Commissions

PutForShare may charge sellers commissions, listing fees, or service fees as disclosed on the Platform or in a separate fee schedule. Applicable fees may be updated from time to time with reasonable prior notice to affected users.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PutForShare and its officers and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of applicable law, or your infringement of any third party's rights in connection with your use of the Platform.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, legal or regulatory reasons, or extended inactivity. You may deactivate your account at any time by contacting us. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination - including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution - will survive.

17. Grievance Redressal

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and applicable consumer-protection law, complaints regarding the Platform may be directed to our Grievance Officer:

We will acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and endeavour to resolve them within 30 days, or such shorter period as may be prescribed by applicable law.

18. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in [Puducherry], India, conducted in English, before a sole arbitrator. Subject to the foregoing, the courts at [Puducherry], India shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause limits a consumer's right to approach a consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

19. Miscellaneous

• Force majeure: PutForShare is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, strikes, courier disruptions, or governmental action.
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent; PutForShare may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
• Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any applicable franchise or fee schedule, constitute the entire agreement between you and PutForShare regarding the Platform.
• Amendments: We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
